From humble beginnings in 1994 Salon Magic Academy of Hairdressing has become a reputed name in hair design and training.Mrs Saroj Govender started Salon Magic and initially ran it as a fulltime salon.Today we are an accreditted Hairdressing Acadamey and a fulltime salon.

The need for specialists in todays's ever demanding culture with its ever increasing desire to look attractive,sophisticated and fashionable implies that ongoing education and training is imperative to reach success in various fields, including hairdressing.

The appearance of one's hair is the single most important accessory for fashion and image. Saroj Govender, who holds a National Diploma in Hair Management, has after years of experience and knowledge created an environment that is conducive to teaching and learning towards a career that offers imaginative and stimulating opportunities.She has lectured many students from various backgrounds and her passion and dedication for teaching makes her one of the best in the industry.

We are accredited with the South Africa Qualification Authority (SAQA), the Sector Education Training Authority (SETA) and the Education Training Qualification Authority (ETQA).

We cater for both fulltime and part-time students.This makes it possible for those that are currently employed in the industry,but without formal qualifications, to join the evening classes and obtain certifcation through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
